Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)
PRP is a natural product created from your own body. A small amount of blood is drawn from you and placed in a sterile tube that is spun down in a centrifuge to separate the different components of the blood. Red and white blood cells are divided from the platelets and the plasma (the clear fluid). This plasma now contains a higher than normal number of platelets and is called platelet rich plasma, or PRP.
The procedure takes around one hour to complete, is relatively painless, and requires no post procedure care or time off from daily events. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising will usually fade within 1-3 days.
The goal of PRP skin rejuvenation therapy is to improve skin tone and texture, tighten skin, soften lines and pores. Results begin to show 3-4 weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve with time. Three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 1-2 months apart, to achieve the best outcome.
PRP treatment is priced at £150 per treatment.
Dermaroller
Dermaroller is advanced micro-medical skin-needling, a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely, resulting in smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.
It is suitable for all skin types and tones and can:
Reduce fine lines and wrinkles on the face and décolletage
Rejuvenate hands and minimise signs of ageing
Revitalise aged and sun damaged skin
Reduce acne scarring
The removal of stretch marks
This treatment utilises sterile single-use medical devices. Your Nurse will use a Dermaroller medical device to produce thousands of micro-medical needle-columns in the skin. Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the skin and will be approximately 0.1mm in width. The column will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly – often in the same day.
After the procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement. A single treatment will leave you with great results however courses of three are recommended.
Treatment will take an hour in total and is priced at £70 per session.
Ice Lipo
Ice Lipo is based on the science of Cryolipolysis. It’s a term that combines “cryo” (icy cold) with “lipolysis” (the chemical decomposition of fat). The premise is that under carefully controlled conditions, subcutaneous fat cells are more vulnerable than other surrounding tissue to the effects of cold. Scientists at Harvard University noticed that children who ate Popsicle got dimples in their cheeks. After some research the scientists realised that the cold was freezing fat cells, which then got eliminated.
This procedure selectively targets localized fat deposits; common areas include abdominal fat, love handles, back rolls, muffin-tops and bulges above Cesarean section incision lines. The procedure works best if the patient has stable weight and small specific areas to target, not suitable for patients with a high BMI.
Treatments take from 45 minutes up to 2 hours depending on individual needs, which are always subject to assessment.
Prices are as follows:
£100 for one area
£50 for consecutive areas
(if four sessions are booked the fourth session is free)
